The 24 designers, chosen from over 200 graduates initially nominated by their tutors, display their latest collections, carefully curated to inspire and engage invited sponsors, industry and press.

The report highlight just some of the activity that took place over a packed four days: including judging for the Texprint Prizes for Fashion, Interiors, Colour and Pattern (the winners to be announced in Paris on September 19); mentoring on professional practise including specific areas such as intellectual property and copyright law; a visit to the V&A's fashion and textile archive at Blythe House in Olympia; a presentation by sponsors Liberty Fabrics and WGSN; and a great deal of industry meeting and greeting!

The 24 designers selected for the 2017 Texprint programme

Guests included those who flew in from Italy, France, and the USA - representing companies including the Marzotto Group/Ratti, Unindustria Como (selecting designers to participate in their internship programme in October), Première Vision, Atelier Swarovski and Nike.  UK visitors included among others The Worshipful Company of Weavers, Liberty Fabrics, Ted Baker, John Lewis Home, Marks & Spencer, AVA CAD Cam, Surface View, Emma J Shipley and Sarah Campbell - and many course leaders and tutors from colleges and universities across the UK.
